Researching children's contribution to the First World War in Droitwich
Wychbold First School
Wychbold First & Nursery School is situated to the north of Droitwich.
We are Eagles Class and we begin by looking at the book Where my Wellies Take Me by Michael and Clare Morpurgo.
We will be painting with blackberry juice, picking blackberries and then creating recipes. This leads to studying Home Life during 1914 – 1918 and our topic is named Heroes and Heroines.
We know that at the time of the First World War, the main landowner in the village was the Honorable Richard Holmden Amphlett, (1847-1925), of Wychbold Hall. We look forward to finding out more.
